The common phrase Ura-Harajuku or Ura-Hara refers to the back streets of Harajuku, where independent select shops, menswear and streetwear brands dwell. Many of the brands were started by designers born in 1975 and 1976, who have become the leaders of the Ura-Hara movement right now. Brands such as WHIZ Limited, NEXUSVII, mita sneakers, BAL, and Waste(twice) are familiar names who have come together to set up a pop-up shop entitled THE SESSION TOKYO. The store will be open for three days at the end of this month inside COMMON in Harajuku. Drop by the space if you are in the neighborhood as they will be launching some exclusive pieces.
